The closeness of the Manresa kitchen with their exclusive farm/purveyor, Love Apple Farms, has been much written about, and this summer the farm has been hard at work growing five dozen different varieties of heirloom tomatoes for chef David Kinch to cook with. On October 1 and 2, Kinch will put tomatoes front and center at the annual Tomato Modernista Dinners, featuring a multi-course menu where 60 types of the nightshades will shine in, we’re sure, provocative and inventive ways. The dinners are $170 per person, exclusive of wine, tax, and gratuity. Open seating begins at 5:30 p.m., and you should note the regular Manresa menu will not be available that weekend.
