Eater confirms what we were pretty sure of in our neighborhood watch column late last month: The owners of Blue Plate and BP Oysterette are indeed the same forces behind Plato Azul, coming to Santa Monica’s Shore Hotel, which has taken shape rather quickly in the last few weeks. Looking to a January 1 opening date, it sounds like more gringo gastronomy is planned for the neighborhood, with this concept supposedly being a “Mexican version of Blue Plate.” [Eater]
