Bibigo, the Korean bibimbap chain that announced early intentions to grow to 1,000 worldwide stores by 2015 is expanding in Los Angeles, though a little slower than many were expecting. Currently in the process of taking over the Mako space in Beverly Hills, a manager with the restaurant’s Westwood flagship tells us that the new store most likely will not open until this December, at the earliest. It’s surprising to see this chain hit 90210 before it goes Downtown or further west, though Beverly Drive has served as a solid testing-ground for ambitious projects before, be it Cabbage Patch, 9021Pho, or that “Indian Chipotle” knows as Saffron.
