Just as Alain Allegretti is about to open La Promenade des Anglais, the space at 46 West 22nd Street that housed his former spot, Allegretti, has been taken over. Andy Lee, who owns Kyoto in Flushing, and Patricia Ng, who manages the catering at event space Splashlight Studios, have teamed up to open Silk Brasserie. The modern Asian restaurant will make use of Allegretti’s wood-burning oven for feast food like suckling pig and whole curried chicken, as well as Asian-style flatbreads. The duo are planning a December opening.
