In the past, the Food Experiments have tackled chocolate, brunch, tacos, and even booze, and now, after some soul-searching hops to Austin, New Orleans, D.C., Philly, and Boston, the little contest is all grown up. On September 18, there’ll be a national championship showdown where the winner of each city’s Experiment is invited to prepare “the perfect bite,” to be evaluated by Melissa Clark, Andrew Knowlton, and Garrett Oliver, brewmaster of sponsor Brooklyn Brewery.
