The stretch of Venice Blvd. between La Brea and Fairfax seems ripe for an explosion, or at the least, a small shockwave from the boom that hit Culver City. There are plenty of people living here, but not a lot of businesses serving them. Change usually begins with the founding of a hip coffee shop, before it snowballs into full-fledged, gentrified fun and it looks like this Mid-City neighborhood is finally getting one.
Tank’s Coffee Shop and Eatery is currently under construction at Stanley and Venice Blvd., with a warm exterior aesthetic featuring vintage tin coffee signs and an adorable-looking pooch on the side of an over-sized coffe cup. No further details available quite yet on what’s inside, but so far it appears to have all of the well-conceived trappings of a business that could the landscape.
