Crime

Just Another Weekend in the Big, Bad City

It wasn’t the best weekend for Boston nightspots. Maybe it’s the August heat, maybe it’s the impending doom of school/reality/colder temperatures, maybe it’s old-fashioned, booze-fueled friskiness. Over at the Liberty Hotel, a trio of brothers in town from California were refused entry due to obvious drunkenness. In response, one of the brothers promptly de-pants’d and urinated in full view of patrons. All three were cuffed. We know the West Coast is a bit more laid-back than Boston, but geez! Across town at Allston’s Sunset Grill, an employee was stabbed in the back. (Not betrayed by a sleazy manager or anything. Actually stabbed in the back.) Luckily, the wounds were “relatively minor.” And, finally, a melee broke out on a Boston Harbor cruise; one man was shot in the back of the head. And some people call Restaurant Week a crime! [UH]
