Aw, this would go great with a 2010 Benitos Santos Albarino!

We’ve recently seen wines paired with In-N-Out and wines paired with Memphis barbecue, but this Sunday Domaine LA will pair Spanish wines with the cuisine of Mariscos Jalisco from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Melrose wine store. The restaurant will offer a sampler plate with its renowned shrimp taco, plus ceviche and a tostada, to go with four different wines from Spain. The pairing can be purchased for $20 on Domaine’s website, before it goes up to $10 per plate and $12 per flight on Sunday. And guess who will be there!

Street Gourmet L.A. blogger Bill Esparza tells us he’ll be at the event shooting for a new online show he’s hosting about L.A. culture and street food. We asked him what he’s looking forward to most on Sunday, to which the writer replied, “I can’t wait to taste Domaine LA’s pairing with Jalisco’s perfect shrimp taco. As much as I take pleasure in clandestine pours under tables and tin foil wrapped cans of booze at print shop parking lots; it’s a welcome change to enjoy a nice glass of wine with my favorite street food in a more polished setting. It will feel like I’m at a taqueria in Condesa, where wine is served and valet parking is available.”
