A call to the original Second Avenue location of healthy pizza spot Slice, the Perfect Food reveals that the pie joint has shuttered after six years. “We have faced a lot of adversity with Second Avenue subway construction. We received no help from our landlord or the city, so we are forced to move,” the message intones. Owner Miki Agrawal picked up the phone at her West Village location and confirmed that the shutter occurred a few days ago and that she’s “keen on a space” at Kent and North 4th Street in Williamsburg, but “nothing has been signed.”
