Prune PR Could Use Some Flushing Out

Shocking news: Healthy, organic food is prohibitively costly for many Americans. Even more shocking: The answer to our woes might be prunes! Researchers at the University of Washington are now pushing for education campaigns to get people to buy the “low-cost but good-tasting and readily available sources of nutrients.” But one realistic researcher admits: “Dried prunes are great sources of potassium, but unless you launch a major PR campaign to increase their popularity, no one’s going to eat them.” Uh, do we sense a National Prune Day in the works?
