Pastry Cupboard Starts Baking on Market

Back in June, we reported on a bakery moving into the former Bistro Clovis space on Market Street). Today, Eater outlines the details: it’s called The Pastry Cupboard and is run by Chona Piumarta, a former executive pastry chef from The Slanted Door and Lark Creek Steak. Though the business has been running for roughly three years already in the wholesale realm, this will be Piumarta’s first retail venture. Expect a standard range of baked goods from pies to cookies, including vegan and gluten-free items, plus breakfast and lunch, and eventually evening desserts and Piumarta’s own line of candy, jams and coffee.
