With sweeping renovations, which took the better part of two years, nearing completion at the Main Line’s Wayne Hotel, Paramour, a new restaurant, bar and lounge, gears up to make its debut. Michael Giampa, Director of Restaurant Development for S.W. Bajus Ltd., the company that owns the century-old landmark hotel, said that he’s waiting on some kitchen equipment and then inspections, but should be ready open in coming weeks. “Early fall” was the closest thing to an opening date he would offer. “We’re calling it American fine dining,” Giampa told Grub Street. “But it’s going to have several different concepts in one restaurant.”

The space, which for more than 20 years housed Restaurant Taquet, was completely overhauled and reconfigured. Giampa said a bar area was constructed with a long, curved bar that will seat up to 16, high-top tables and booths where guests van enjoy drinks and bar snacks. It gives way to a more formal dining room with a capacity for 70 people. There, he said, the dining options will be a little more refined, with a selection of sharable plates, steak house-esque dishes, crudo, and more adventurous fare for “people who are a little more on the foodie tip.” A long chef’s counter will line the front of the open kitchen. A large outdoor veranda will offer a garden-like setting, weather permitting.
