From the very beginning, executive chef James O’Donnell has been adamant that Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse will “honor the steak house tradition” and not overthink the concept. He wasn’t kidding. The restaurant sent around a preview menu of “highlights,” and it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from a classic steakhouse; there is crabcake, a chopped salad, a few fish dishes, and, of course, 28 day dry-aged prime beef. You can check out the preview menu below. We have no doubt that it will be packed beyond all belief. That said, if you’re really interested in attending the grand opening, the restaurant is offering a contest to help you out.
Called “Take Michael With You,” the restaurant is asking contestants to print off a picture of Jordan from their Facebook page, and then “take a photo of themselves posing with ‘Michael’ at a location of their choice, whether it be a notable landmark or their favorite neighborhood spot.” The restaurant will pick three finalists, and then people will vote on their favorite. The winner will get two tickets to the grand opening, a hotel room at the InterContinental, and a free breakfast. Not a bad deal. Check out the restaurant’s Facebook page for more details.
