Look Out Mission Sandwich Hounds: Giordano Brothers Nears

It looks like North Beach-based Giordano Brothers, the Pittburgh-style, “all-in-one” sandwich shop/sports bar, is on track for that late August opening they promised in the former Ti Couz space (3108 16th Street at Valencia). They just landed their liquor license this week, and we’re now trying to confirm their exact opening date. (Update: A manager in North Beach says that final inspections are happening as we speak, and they could be open next week if all goes well.)

In case you haven’t had the pleasure, the all-in-one sandwich is an Italian deli sandwich (our favorite is the hot capicola) on thick white bread with French fries stuffed inside. Additionally, at the new location, they’re promising pierogis, seven flat-screen TVs, and 24 beers on tap. We expect this place to be pretty packed on game days, henceforth. [Grub Street, Earlier]
