You know who caused Kraft to split into two companies last week? You. That’s at least the analysis from Crain’s, which claims that the company realized the American public could no longer be counted on to purchase “all-American” grocery items like Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and Jell-O. Instead, the nation’s largest food company will focus on hawking packaged snacks to growing economies around the world. Of course, rising food costs have also played a part in the slow domestic growth, but ask yourself this: when was the last time you purchased the blue box? [Crain’s]
