Loose talk on Chowhound has it that Mariscos Chente’s original Imperial Highway location in Inglewood could soon be changing names to Coni’s Seafood, in honor of operator Connie Cossio, daughter of Chente’s founder. This location is where diners flock these days to find Sergio Penuelas, the chef whose presence can make a good meal of mariscos turn great. The looming name-change is intended to differentiate this branch from the other Chente locations that lack Penuelas. Calls to the restaurant found Connie “no esta” with no confirmation of the alleged changes available. [Chowhound]
