What Restaurant Should Open in the Ugly Hite Radio Space?

The South End Patch reports that Hite Radio’s shoddy storefront at Worcester Square will soon be replaced by a six-story condo, complete with a restaurant on the ground floor. Jim Robertson and Jay Hajj (pictured here with Guy Fieri) own the buildings occupied by Mike’s City Diner and Toro and will oversee construction.

Unlike the JP versus Whole Foods brouhaha, residents are generally in favor of the plan (despite some concerns over rats) because a restaurant could make the slightly unsavory block a little bit safer. The real question is this: What type of restaurant should move in? As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Stella’s Evan Deluty is planning a Latin restaurant nearby. What else might take the neighborhood to new … heights?
