Perusing Article 8 of the City health code (as they’re wont to do), SFoodie today finds that anyone carrying any sort of venereal disease, including the ones like HPV and herpes that every other person has, isn’t allowed to work in a food-service establishment. A health inspector admits this section of the code probably dates to “post-WWI,” and should be revised “to meet current medical science and current culture.” Yah. Otherwise most of the Mission would be out of a job. [SFoodie]
