Devon Brinkley, the brazen, gun-wielding mastermind that led a gang of thugs on a nine day crime spree that targeted fast food joints in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, is facing more than 100 years in the big house. The Metro reports that Brinkley, who was found guilty of the 2008 robberies back in May, received his sentence this week. In nine days, he and several co-defendants, who’ve already pleaded guilty to the crimes, knocked off three Dunkin’ Donuts locations, a Pizza Hut and a McDonald’s. They reportedly held employees and customers at gunpoint, while clearing out cash registers and safes. While the wonders of restaurant related crime never ceases to amaze us, what baffles us most about this case is whether to refer to it as Donut Hole Gang or the Hamburglar Bunch. [Metro]
