Ferdia Doherty and TJ Callahan just let us know that Farmhouse, their upcoming “Midwest focused” tavern in River North, is set to open on September 6. Like a lot of new places, the restaurant is jumping head first into the local movement, even stocking most of the bar with regional brews and liquors. The menu was designed by chef Eric Mansavage — formerly the chef at Club Lucky — and will be based on “what’s available from Midwestern farmers and growers.” He’s still working on finalizing the menu, but you should be able to score venison beer bratwurst, stuffed pasties, and a boneless short rib sloppy joe.
