The aforementioned Asian noodle pop-up within dive bar Amante in North Beach (570 Green Street at Stockton) is finally going to debut next week, September 9. As Tablehopper tells us, Chubby Noodle, the side project from Pete Mrabe of Don Pisto’s, will feature three menu sections: hot, cold, and Chinatown five-spice fried chicken. The chicken, made with Mary’s organic birds and which she calls “really out of hand,” comes in buckets of ten ($24) or twenty pieces ($44), each with assorted sides. And in addition to ramen and noodles, there’ll be raw bar items like tuna tartare and oysters. All of it will be available for takeout, too. [Tablehopper]
