It’s been a while since Matt Levin’s Kandy Kake sliders disappeared from Adsum’s menu, but with the chef’s recent departure from the restaurant, we had hoped a recipe for his outlandish creation would be one of those featured on Tasty Baking Co.’s new webpage devoted to local chef’s experimentations with the iconic hometown snack cakes. But alas, it is not! The Kandy Kakes new makers have put six recipes up, including a Malted Tastykake Ice Cream from 10 Arts pastry chef Monica Glass, and the Cake Shake, a milkshake made with Butterscotch Krimpets, from Stephen Starr’s SquareBurger, but not so much as even a hint of Levin’s over-the-top burgers.
