Restaurant rumors often spontaneously combust, a lot like a little tindersticks tossed into a handmade, artisanal wood-fired oven that blisters and chars so many irregularly shaped but beautiful craft pizzas, which are then finished with paper-thin slices of prosciutto made from heritage-breed pigs. Case in point: The DIY food revolutionaries at Roberta’s in Bushwick were said to be eyeing an expansion — to Manhattan. Unfortunately, some rumors fizzle just as quickly; a rep from the restaurant has told Eater that Manhattan location will happen “soon enough,” but not just yet. [Metromix/Twitter via Eater NY]
