We’d like congratulate Piece for picking up the “independent pizzeria of the year” award from Pizza Today. The Louisville-based magazine selected the insanely popular Wicker Park joint due to both its high quality and enormous volume. According to the Tribune, Piece kicks out about 3,600 pizzas a week, making it one of the “most successful independent pizzerias in the nation.” Owner, Bill Jacobs, even graces the August cover of the publication.
