Two newcomers to the mobile-dining fray apparently aren’t deterred by the recent spate of crackdowns: There’s the Sungevity ice-pop truck, which is attempting to educate consumers about the company’s solar-energy options by distributing free GoodPop All-Natural Frozen Pops for the next few days out of a biodiesel-fueled solar-powered truck. Look for that right now (until 7 p.m.) at Seventh Avenue between 31st and 32nd Streets; tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 42nd Street between Vanderbilt and Lexington Avenues, and from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sixth Avenue between 41st and 42nd Streets; and check Sungevity’s Facebook page for Thursday’s location. Meanwhile, Havana Central lets us know that it has rolled out a cart peddling $1 empanadas. Beef picadillo, chicken sofrito, and three cheese flavors are available for a buck on Tuesday afternoons at the restaurant’s Times Square location and Wednesdays at the West End location.
