Mark Gold returned from vacation this weekend and has a refreshed Eva waiting for him. Well, that was easy enough. The restaurant, which has been closed over the last two weeks, is attempting to feel much more like a neighborhood place with great food and drinks, rather than a destination for formal fine-dining. To this end, Eva added extra seats at the bar, a few new interior details, and a fresh coat of paint to the inside. Gold is informally throwing a privater fete tonight, then officially reopening Eva this Wednesday evening, with plans to introduce a new cocktail list by Gabriella Mlynarczyk, the former operator of New York’s Woodson and Ford. The restaurant is also debuting a new website this week, with all these tiny nips and tucks reminding everyone how just a little time off can often result in a whole new you!
