After brunch on Sunday, Lula Cafe in Logan Square closed for its long-promised expansion. It’s taking over the former cleaners space next door, and when we checked this morning, construction crews had already torn down the wall between the two. This is being described as the “first phase” of the renovation, but don’t worry about missing out on Lula’s brunch this weekend; the restaurant plans to reopen on Friday, July 8 at 9 a.m.
