Osteria La Buca has gone into the merchandise business. The Melrose Italian, which recently hired Jason Neroni to much praise around town, had been reserving space for a retail venture since its last refresh and now offers Neroni’s 24-hour cooked Mother’s sauce for pizza and pasta, marinated and smoked olives, fresh handmade pasta, zucchini bread and zucchini butter pickles, and almonds prepared with bacon fat. Whatever you’re making might not be quite like Neroni makes it once you get it all home, but you gotta start somewhere, right?
