If you missed out on getting your complimentary invite to the Virant-Pandel throwdown yesterday, Boka Restaurant Group is giving you another chance to nosh and drink as their guest. Every Tuesday in August, they’ll be hosting a special beer dinner featuring a three-course menu by Boka Chef de Cuisine Charles Shelton, paired with three of Goose Island’s specialty beers— Juliet, Lolita and Madame Rose. The dinners are a perfectly reasonable $55; where the complimentary invite part comes in is at the launch party on Boka’s outdoor patio, Sunday August 7 from 4 to 7 pm. Guests at this event will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres such as Chorizo in a Blanket and an assortment of Goose Island craft beers including executive chef Giuseppe Tentori’s Squid Ink Saison.
