Forum, taking over the two-story space formerly occupied by Vox Populi at 755 Boylston St., opens for dinner tonight at 5 p.m., courtesy restaurateur Euz Azevedo and Boston Nightlife Ventures. (That’s the team behind The Federalist and Noche.) As such, we’re expecting a lively first-floor scene; beverage director Alexei Beratis was formerly at Towne. Food-wise, the menu appears to shoot for wide appeal (raviolo, pictured above; chicken-n-waffles; short ribs with jalapeno polenta). However, we’re most intrigued by the dessert menu. Choose your favorite ingredients, and the kitchen will prepare ‘em in a “surprise presentation.” Executive chef Jared Chianciola has spent time at Eastern Standard and Rialto.
