What to Eat at Ellabess, Opening in the Nolitan Hotel This Evening
Kenmare Street devotees can rejoice that the ever-delayed restaurant at the Nolitan Hotel opens this evening at last. The dell’anima/L’Artusi/Anfora crew is, of course, behind the project, which is named in part for its position on the corner of Elizabeth Street. Chef Troy Unruh (dell’anima) has fashioned a New American menu with an emphasis on seafood; look for dishes like fluke ceviche garnished with watermelon, radish, chili, and mint, and shrimp a la plancha. Landlubbers can fork into fare such as grilled sweetbreads in a cherry glaze, and fried chicken breast. Hours are 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. daily; see the menu below and check out some dishes in our slideshow, plus take a look at the sunken corner dining space with floor-to-ceiling windows.
