Dottie’s Is In Fact Closing, Moving; Mr. Lew’s to Be Three Times Bigger

Beloved breakfast spot Dottie’s True Blue Café is, in fact, closing and relocating to an as-yet TBA spot — which will result in thousands of tourists with outdated guide books wandering aimlessly on Jones Street next year, confused — and we all know Jones Street in the ‘Loin is not a place you want to be wandering aimless. Despite earlier rumors that Bourbon & Branch owners Destination Bars had their eye on the Dottie’s space, The Tender confirms that this is not the case. In semi-related, down-the street news, The Tender also informs us that the bar formerly known as the 441 Club, lately evolving into Mister Lew’s Win Win Bar & Grand Sazerac Emporium (a name which still may turn out to be termporary, after the renovations are complete) is doing movie nights on Wednesdays, with popcorn. And furthermore, the space “will be about three times bigger than it currently is when they’re done [with the renovations].” [The Tender]
