Toward the close of next month’s massive Escape to New York music festival in Shinnecock, Long Island, an attempt will be made to set the Guinness world record for “Largest Brunch at a Live Music Event.” Quite an honor. Food at the festival is being organized by the Fat Radish folks and includes selections from twelve restaurants, such as Luke’s Lobster and Ofrenda; the soon-to-open Pulqueria will serve tacos and guacamole. Immediately following the meal, hundreds of people with omelette breath and maple-syrup hands are expected to start dancing to Of Montreal and Mates of State. Tickets are $36 for the sure-to-be-epic repast and will be available here.
