We noticed back in February that the former Ebb & Flow/Craig’s Place space at 18th and Guerrero (across from Tartine) was on the market, and today Grub Street gets word of the new restaurant tenant who’s going to try to make the troubled space work. It’s going to be called Izakaya Yuzuki, from first-time restaurant owner Yuko Hayashi. No word as to who the chef will be, and we’re putting this opening out at least three months, pending a liquor license. As you may recall, Ebb & Flow closed last summer after only a few months in business as a seafood restaurant. Coincidentally, chef Vincent Schofield went on to work at another izakaya, Nombe, but has since left. [Grub Street]
