After endowing Malibu Inn with a new menu, Top Chef vet Angelo Sosa is on the move to Century City. A Craigslist posting looking for restaurant staff announces an entirely new restaurant concept and mixology hub with a Sosa-approved menu is coming soon to 10351 Santa Monica Blvd. Haven’t we spied some activity here before?
Last we heard from design firm Spacecraft, that space was due to be a draft-beer heavy a project from Curtis Nysmith called SmithHouse and looking at a Facebook page for the project, we see it’s still slated for arrival and does indeed claim “our specialty drink list is being constructed by one of LA’s best know mixologist,” while the help wanted post promises “an innovative beverage program developed by many of the world’s top Mixologists!!” Sounding pretty similar, though a call to the restaurant went unanswered.
The unnamed restaurant that’s probably SmithHouse promises to open soon across from Westfield Century City. Stay tuned, Sosa-fans!
