For this year’s run — it’s only the second so far — of its small batch seasonal, Cape of Good Hope, Yards Brewing Co. is switching things up a little. This time around, the imperial pale ale, which will be available later this month, was dry hopped with a combination of Ahtanum and Nugget hops, that will produce a significantly different flavor profile from last year’s batch. Yards’ Director of Operations, Steve Mashington told Grub Street that going forward the beer will be tweaked slightly with each roll out in effort to create something new and special each year. Also new for this year’s batch are bottles. Last year Yards only put the stuff in barrels. This time they’re putting a small quantity of the brew in 12 oz bottles, which will have limited availability at beer distributors. Since only 150 barrels were produced in total, it will still only be available for a limited time.
