Where Should Big Papi Open His Totally Passable, Casually Upscale Restaurant?

Last summer we talked about hot-sauce-lovin’ Big Papi opening a second location of his Big Papi’s Grille in Boston proper. Well, it seems the big day is finally here.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk via the MetroWest Daily News, he’s actually closing his Framingham location and reopening somewhere in the city. But where?

We thought that Papi brought a touch of excitement to an otherwise unremarkable strip of Route 9 in Framingham. It’s not like he was in the kitchen whipping up those fish tacos, but still. It was a bit of Caribbean/Dominican spice in a drab honeycomb of boxy, soulless chains.

Now what? Clearly our psychic powers are feeble, as we’d previously speculated that he’d move into the old 33 space on Stanhope Street, which is actually now occupied by a new branch of Zocalo. Where do you think Papi should go? And do you think he could convince Jorge Posada to put his hot sauce on a Fenway frank?
