Rustic House was first announced back in March by the owners of Gemini Bistro. At the time, the restaurant promised a “selection of wood-grilled meats.” Now that its finally open, we can confirm that the claim was no joke. We’re not sure what kind of mood we’re in, but it’s fascinating to see a menu so unafraid of its meaty offerings. Not counting the side dishes, of the 32 or so dishes available, only four are vegetarian friendly.

The kitchen is being run by chef Jason Paskewitz. He is already the executive chef at Gemini Bistro, and previously he has worked at Wave, N9ne Steakhouse, and the Four Seasons.

The restaurant seems built around its imported Rotisol French Rotisserie. Though the menu features snacks, starters, and main courses, we are most interested in its daily rotisserie menu. You can expect a free-range chicken every day, and there are plenty other options: On Wednesdays you can sample Maple Leaf duck a l’orange; on Fridays the veal rack is available; and on Saturdays you can get the prime rib.
