Phoenixville-based Sly Fox Brewing Co. announced plans this morning for a major expansion project that will triple the craft brewer’s capacity. The new 30,000 square foot facility located in the Pottstown Airport Business Center, will be home to a fully automated 50-hectoliter BrauKon brewhouse imported from Germany and a new canning line that will up the brewery’s output from 25 hectoliters twice a day to 50
hectoliters three times a day, according to a prepared statement. In addition to the major brewery expansion, Sly Fox’s operating partners will sell their Royersford brewpub to two longtime employees. They’ve cut a deal to continue brewing at that location until the new brewery is up and running, which they expect will be before the end of the year.
