Temporary Closings

Shuttered Long Bar Loses a Partner, May Still Reopen

Startender Reza Esmaili announced this week that he’s no longer the operating partner up at Long Bar, thus ending a year-long stint in which he intended to give the sports-centric Pac Heights joint a makeover. Long Bar had shuttered temporarily in April for said makeover, and remains closed. Esmaili says he’s not sure what the remaining partners have planned and they’re “still figuring it out,” but he and consulting chef Erik Hopfinger are out of the picture. (Esmaili says he’ll now be pursuing his own restaurant/bar consulting service called Ananas.) Long Bar is likely still to see a revamp in the coming months, potentially with a new name, as was the plan.
