Patina is a pioneer in Downtown, but not all of Joachim Splichal’s restaurants are surviving to watch the Renaissance flourish. Eater announces that Zucca, the ten-year-old Italian bistro on South Figueroa, closed up shop this past Friday, confirmed by an outgoing message at the restaurant. Apparently, the lease is up, making it the right time for the restaurant group to lose any vestigial limbs. [Eater]
