Oceana’s Ben Pollinger Has a Lobster Roll Stand, Too

After we spent yesterday obsessing over lobster rolls, Oceana executive chef Ben Pollinger wrote in to tell us that he has teamed up with local lobster wholesaler Homarus and they’ve been quietly selling rolls at local street fairs. Throughout the summer, they’ll be offering up rolls inspired by Maine (with light lobster mayo and thinly sliced celery), Connecticut (with warm butter and sea salt), and, uh, Saigon (the “lobster bánh mì” features sweet chile sauce, cucumber, daikon, carrots, and cilantro). Greatest Lobster Roll has already reviewed the Maine and Connecticut rolls; try them yourself this Saturday at Third Avenue around 80th and 81st Streets, and next Saturday in Brooklyn at the 7th Avenue Street Fair.
