More Changes Afoot at the Piazza

You have to wonder what’s going on at the Piazza these days. In yet another restaurant upset, Apollinare, the Umbrian-inspired white tablecloth spot that replaced the short lived Vino wine bar back in February 2010, has called it quits, Meal Ticket/Citypaper’s A.D. Amorosi writes. With the Swift Half and Speck before it, it’s the third such shakeup to rattle Bart Blatstein’s NoLibs empire this year. The word is that Philly2Night.com’s Brian Nagele will take the reins, which on the surface seems a little weird, since websites and restaurants are two very different beasts. But at the same time, P.Y.T.‘s Tommy Up, a veritable web marketing and promotions ninja, has what might be the Piazza’s most successful business. So maybe the change makes sense. [Meal Ticket]
