Our favorite thing about Mas Malo isn’t Robert Luna’s deep-fried pickle tacos like most people, but the booze; specifically that magic little corner known as the tequila vault. The Downtown Mexican restaurant has just busted out a new happy hour called “Hora Feliz” that runs in every part of the restaurant every day of the week from 4:00-6:00 P.M.
While admission into the tequila vault is not a part of the program, Mas Malo’s selection of margaritas will cost only $5 a pop during this two-hour stint, while wine and sangria are just $4. If food is your big draw here, specials will change daily via a chalkboard menu, with options like a $5 Mexican pizza, and the restaurant’s ceviche and soft tacos for $2.50. Should be stuffed with a whole crew of buzzed folks looking to avoid the slog home on the 110.
