Jamaica Plain’s proposed Whole Foods might be under fire from anti-gentrification, pizza-lovin’ protesters, but things are just buzzing along for neighborhood grocery City Feed and Supply.

The natural-foods shop has won the right to sell “craft beers and good-quality wines,” Universal Hub reports. (Geez, we’d hope they’d never sell poor-quality wines, especially since they sell such dazzling sandwiches!) The JP Neighborhood Council is totally behind the move; according to Hub, nobody spoke in opposition at the Boston Licensing Board hearing. Because one thing is clear: While upscale organic food might be bad for the neighborhood, easily available alcohol is always a boon to the community!
