A meal at one of Marc Vetri’s restaurants could easily be one of the best you’ll ever have. And it could be one of the priciest too. But pretty soon, a select few will have the pleasure of eating Vetri lunches for $3 or less a day! The catch? You have to be a student at Wissahickon Charter School. Daily News’ Lauren McCutcheon reports today that Vetri and partners Jeff Michaud and Jeff Benjamin this fall will step in to upgrade the school’s breakfast and lunch operations with a program called Eatiquette. With it, kids will dine on fresh, locally sourced meals, served family style and with a side of learning about the food, its origins and how its prepared. A portion of proceeds from the Vetri Foundation’s Great Chefs Event next week — a few tickets are still available — will help pay for the program. [Daily News]
