The new restaurant taking over the former WashBag space (1707 Powell), Bottle Cap, is now set to open next Thursday, July 7. As the Scoop reports, they’ll be dinner only for the first week, with day service starting the following week. As we discussed earlier, the chef de cuisine is from Blue Plate, Matt Sullivan — helping do a menu of “local American fare” — and the chef-owner is former Sens chef Dane Boryta, along with his wife Elizabeth Ferro. They’ve also got Peter Gowdy, a Bourbon & Branch vet, handling the cocktail program. We expect good things. [Scoop] Update: See more details, the menu, and a slideshow. [Grub Street]
