Chef Josh Birch, who started his career staging with the likes of Suzanne Goin and Corina Weibel in L.A., is launching a daytime restaurant inside the 111 Minna gallery space, serving daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, and heartier fare like porchetta and duck confit, there will also be a to-go window called Anna Bella, where you can order your stuff ahead. They’re calling it a “lunch CSA” and using reusable containers that you’re supposed to drop off when you come back the next day. The plan, as Tablehopper reports, is to incorporate some happy hour bites as well, and to revamp the cocktail list at the gallery’s bar, also adding a significant number of wines. (We suppose this might be part of the reason EAT had to evacuate the space and move to the Corner.) The launch date sounds up in the air still, so stay tuned. [Tablehopper]
