Whole Foods Expands to Hyde Park

Here’s some good news for fans of Whole Foods on the South Side. The grocery store is planning to open its next outlet in Hyde Park, which is its first location south of the Roosevelt Road. While only about half the size of the Lincoln Park branch, this one will also feature a sit-down bar and a cooking classroom. It’ll be located at the corner of 51st and Lake Park Avenue in a brand new development, which also includes a 150-unit condo tower. Due to the “extensive development required,” it, unfortunately, won’t be ready until 2014. [Sun Times]
