Coppa’s Jamie Bissonnette will revive his role as Eastern Standard’s opening chef tonight for a special celebratory 6th-anniversary party. (Front-of-the-house personality Garrett Harker will gamely adopt sous chef duties.) The festivities run from 11 p.m. ‘til 2 a.m., with an assortment of decadent treats.
On the menu:
“Fried Awesomes” - salt cod fritters JB style with spicy ketchup and gribiche
Boneless Buffalo Testa Bites - with celeriac and Bayley Hazen Blue cheese
Moules Frites - fennel and crème fraiche mussels with fries
“Chopped” Pinxto - herring, pickled mustard seeds, tofu aioli and dragon fruit
Spaetzle and Sea Urchin Carbonara
Oyster Escabeche - citrus and grains of paradise
Sweetbread Po’ Boy - pickled green tomatoes, bread and butter pickle relish
You’ll also want to sip one of Eastern Standard’s 64 cocktails. The original restaurant only had six. Six! Times have changed.
